History

With over 28 years in the Hollywood industry Laury prides herself on honesty and good work ethics and a sunshine personality! With a passion for finding Talent and lining up opportunities! Originally from Seattle Washington, Laury moved to Los Angeles to start a career in the entertainment industry, 1994. Starting in 1998, Laury began procuring work for others, beginning in background actors. By her 9th year as an LA native, she opened her first talent agency. When that didn't work out, in 2011, she began Artists Among Us Talent Management. In 2019 she singlehandedly turned her full service talent agency into a SAG and WGA franchised talent agency, representing adults and children for television commercials, print, modeling, feature films, principal roles and influencing.

Her drive, heart, passion and ambition has led her to where she is today and looks forward to helping others dreams come true as well! Here to build industry connections. Since it's conception, we've been building a network of associates and building new connections daily! "I just knew I wanted to work in the entertainment industry and by my 9th year in Hollywood I owned my first talent agency. " My mother worked for the department of licensing for the city of Seattle for more than 25 years. Before she passed she left me money to start my own business and further my dreams of being a small business owner and working the entertainment industry. It felt like she shared her early retirement money with me, a year before her passing. How sweet was that!"

Having an agent vs not having an agent- Sometimes casting directors post announcements to the public and on the representation side. And sometimes they choose to only show the public, and they also have the choice of posting on both sides. We both connections with casting directors, producers, directors and advertisers. As an agency, we help secure a higher rate as well as protect you on set.

"What makes me unique is priding myself on doing things unlike the typical stereotype of Hollywood. agents." "It seems like it's difficult for writers to get attention from agencies, due to the overwhelmingly response of submissions of their hopes and dreams and passions that they have poured into their scripted projects. It is an agencies goal and responsibility to get it to the right people, and yet it's not a guarantee."

"Smaller boutique agencies can give you personalized attention without getting lost within their own agency. Even the bigger agencies started small, yet we all have the same vision. And that is to be reliable source of talent for the industry, and find and put to work Talent, and sometimes create Stars. But you don't have to have a household name to be successful!" "You can help us build our Network of contacts, also increasing your network alongside. And with our established great reputation should grow even larger! "

Here are the qualities and criteria that I look for when representing or acquiring talent to my roster.

01). A great looking picture! No logos, sunglasses and a simplistic background. Tightly cropped from the top of the head to the lower chest. Is a minimal suggestion.

02). Have a demo reel! If no experienced a proper (slate) is accepted.

03). Have a unique or personal style or a character type looks. Own it! Or have a special skill that is unique or that everyone does.

04). Have the time to do self tapes and callbacks and zoom areas with well lit lighting and audio quality. Most auditions to call backs are on line, but not a guarantee.

05). Be able to provide your own transportation and room & board if booked on an LA project. This business isn't for everyone and this is agency isn't for everyone.
